Money Management Ability

Money management ability for people with special needs means being good at handling money, even if it’s a bit harder because of your disability. It’s about knowing how to earn, spend, save, and plan your money. Learning how to do this is super important because it helps you become more independent, make smart choices with your money, and have a happier life.

At our special activity centre, we help individuals with special needs learn about money in a fun and practical way. Here’s what we do:

  • Making a Money Plan:
    • We start by teaching you how to make a money plan. It’s like a roadmap for your money.
    • We use pictures and hands-on activities to help you understand how much money you have, what you need to spend it on, and why it’s important to save some.
  • Recognizing Coins and Bills:
    • We help you learn to recognize different coins and bills. We make it fun and easy.
    • We use real coins and bills and create games to help you practice.
  • Counting Money:

    • We play games and do activities to make counting money fun and easy.

    • We’ll teach you how to check prices, figure out discounts, and pay for things all by yourself.
  • Saving Money and Setting Goals:
    • We talk about saving money for things you want in the future. Like a special toy or a fun outing.
    • You’ll set goals and make a plan to save for them.
  • Learning About Banks:
    • We explain how banks work. Like how to open an account, put money in it, and use ATMs.
    • We might even take you to a real bank to see how it all works.
  • Staying Safe with Money:
    • You’ll learn how to protect your money from people who might want to take it from you.
    • We’ll teach you how to be safe when you use your money online.
  • Doing Real Money Tasks:

    • We go on trips to stores, restaurants, and other places in the community to practice.
  • Keeping Track of Money:
    • We help you learn how to keep a record of the money you have and spend. It’s like keeping a diary for your money.
    • You can write it down or use a computer to help you remember.

Our goal is to help you feel comfortable with money, so you can make smart choices and have more independence. We want you to have fun while learning, and we’re here to support you every step of the way.
